Finding your Passion

Hi, blog. It's been a while ...

So, this morning I turn my computer on, open internet as I always do, and the Google homepage is featuring one of the Doodle4Google winners' artwork for the logo. It is a fabulous effort on part of Google, it involves school-age children designing their version of the Google logo. So, after I look at all the artwork, I peruse to the list of judges. And while browsing through those, I read a powerful quote - this one is from Keith Malone, Creative Director at LEGO Group. Malone’s advice for children: “Do what interests you, and really go for it, without worrying what other people think. You won’t find your passion if you only engage halfway. Go big and be bold!”

It's so simple, we've all heard it, right? So my question is, despite the fact that we all know that to be true, how many of us worry about what other people think? How many of us because we worry about what other people think, never find out life's passion? Do I? Sure I do. I've never thought about it in those terms, but when I break down my thought process for not accomplishing more in life, it ultimately comes down to worrying about opinions of others. So what do I do to change that? Hmm... Something to think about.
